On Deck Academy proudly announces that Ty Detweiler (2025 On Deck O’s/Stuart W. Cramer HS) has committed to Emory and Henry University! Ty is a longtime member of the O’s Program and it has been a pleasure watching him grow up and develop into an outstanding student-athlete. He has an amazing work ethic and his love for the game is clearly on display every time he steps onto the field. Ty is a talented middle infielder and a productive hitter who plays the game with energy and pace that translates well to the next level. Ty is a very good student and he also has an interest in ROTC. He plans to potentially explore the honorable path of serving our country through a career in the military following his college experience.
Congratulations to Ty and his parents, Janelle and Chris, as well as Coach McCall and the E&H staff, on this exciting achievement. We would also like to recognize the SCHS coaching staff for their effort and support throughout Ty’s development and recruiting process. We look forward to following Ty’s success with the Wasps!
